This Labor Day has an extra special meaning for me — because I’m about to embark on an exciting new chapter in my professional life. Tomorrow, I will join Starwood Hotels and Resorts as Marketing Manager for the Westin New York Grand Central.
I couldn’t be more excited about this amazing opportunity. The publicist in me is eager to get back to my hospitality PR roots. Promoting travel is what sparked my initial interest in public relations, and I’ve missed it over the last couple of years. I’ve also had the good fortune of representing a few Westin properties during my Quinn & Co. tenure, so I know from experience what a great brand it is to work for.
And, of course, there’s the allure of having a front row seat to the behind the scenes operations of a first class hotel in one of NYC’s marquis neighborhoods. The longtime traveler in me can’t wait to see — and be a part of — what makes Westin a global leader in hospitality. This is, after all, the brand that reinvented the hotel bed and made a heavenly night’s rest on the road possible.
